Barbara Walters was recently asked if she had any regrets in her career and she responded that she wishes she would have never asked Ricky Martin about his sexuality. She said:

“In 2000, I pushed Ricky Martin very hard to admit if he was gay or not, and the way he refused to do it made everyone decide that he was. A lot of people say that destroyed his career, and when I think back on it now I feel it was an inappropriate question.”

Umm… destroyed his career?

His Black and White World Tour was a major success and his MTV Unplugged album was a hit with both his fans and critics, plus Ricky has evolved and allots his time other projects as well protecting those that can’t do it themselves.

Just because he’s not singing in English right now it doesn’t mean his career is destroyed.
