Gloria Trevi’s Mother Was Arrested For Owing $3M In Taxes

Gloria Ruiz, La Trevi’s mother, was arrested last friday for evading her $3 million dollar Mexican tax tab. We’re guessing disregard for the law generally runs in this family. Because of that, Gloria Trevi is now asking you, personally, to pray for her mami.

And you wanna know adamant Gloria Ruiz is about not paying taxes? Very. To the point that she didn’t even attend her own daughter’s Mexican wedding a few months back. But frankly we don’t blame her, cause given Gloria Trevi’s record, Doña Ruiz probably assumed La Trevi would divorce by next weekend.

But wait, why is this rich regiomontana being busted? Doña Ruiz basically sold a bunch of properties and never paid her taxes. She’s been living in McAllen, Texas for a while but fucked up when she decided to party down south over the weekend. She flew in a private jet over to Panama, where she mistakenly assumed she wouldn’t be busted, but was apprehended upon arrival by local authorities. By the looks of that video, she’s taking it pretty well. Gloria Trevi herself has been asking her fans to “pray her for mother.”
